Little business trip, i stopped in Montreal this weekend to see my brother, and his wife gave birth to twins boy last Wednesday.
Louis Roderer Brut : Kind of perfect basic Champagne, being creamy, yeasty, and mineral. Medium body, a really nice wine. TN : 90.
2007 Domaine des Sénéchaux : Chateauneuf-du-Pape, owned by JM Cazes. Low acid, a bit burning on the final, but quite a nice and complex CdP for 40 $. Mouth coating. TN : 90.
2006 Nuits-St-Georges from Bertrand Ambroise : So different from the CdP, but so good anyhow. Masculine Pnot, full of tanin and structure, but also of all the littles red berries and fruits. Drinking nicely. TN : 90.
Tonight, I'm in Louisville and while I'm writing, I'm sipping a 2008 Erath Oregon Pinot. Clear red color, earthy and sour little red berries. Very genuine s it is nothing near a California Pinot or a Bourgogne Pinot. Quite good anyhow for the price. TN : 88.
