I think the theme should be:

"Wines that James Suckling Likes"

or

"Wines that James Suckling Finds 'Velvety'"

3. Dessert wine:
~ Comte Faneur: 2003 d'Yquem -- 4 375ml-bottles
~ Aimeedogdogdog: 1988 climens -- 2 bottles.

We could use 2 more bottles of Sauternes but I think it might be ok now (ok, I can hear more bottles already. :)).

For the basic, I think we are there.

1. Champagne
~ JimHow: 2002 Dom Perignon -- 2 bottles
~ SF Ed: 1996 Bollinger Grand Annee -- magnum
~ Judy and Jerry (our guests): Krug "Grande Cuvée" Brut Champagne -- 2 bottles

2. Bordeaux Blanc:
~Tom In DC: 2 bottles of 2001 Carbonnieux blanc + 2 bottles of 2001 Domaine de Chevalier blanc
~JonB: 2 bottles of 2006 Domaine de Chevalier blanc

3. Dessert wine:
~ Comte Faneur: 2003 d'Yquem -- 4 375ml-bottles
~ Aimeedogdogdog: 1988 climens -- 2 bottles.

Plus the 6 wines for the blind tasting, I think we are going to have some fun!

The rest, please bring whatever you would like to share, as usual!

Well done, gentlemen.
I haven't decided yet what to bring for red wine in addition to the champagne.

On dessert wine, I am sure we are set. I cannot say anything else at this time, except that anyone who does not attend is going to be very unhappy about their decision :)

I'm just chiming in here to see how I can help, because I'm a local and it's easy for me to bring bottles - Jim, Werner, anything last minute that we need? Champagne, more bordeaux, a few ringers like a couple of killer cabs, just name it and I'll bring it. Big cellar and not too many people to share it with.
