This is a tart little filly upon opening, isn't it now....
I think it is going to be very nice with air though.

This is a 30+ year wine.
What does it mean that a village burg will age better than a classified growth Bordeaux priced multiple times higher?

Hmmm... probably doesn't mean anything at all without the context of exactly which crappy Bordeaux you have in mind... (as in crappy == won't last 30 years)

I wouldn't be surprised that the village wine lasts 30 years, as we've had 50 year old village Burgs show amazingly well.

OMG is this wine as unflattering as ever.
I don't think it has changed a bit since we drank those unflattering '05s in, where were we, DC? DC I think it was, in '09 maybe?
Anyway... This wine will be tasty... It may need 20 years though....

Indeed, Tom, I really think this wine could last 50+ years... Wow!

Despite what one might think about their status as a negociant, Jadot has some of the best vineyards in Burgundy, particularly after the early-1980's purchase of the Clair-Dau domaine. There are a fair number of Jadot bottles in our basement.

Tom
I actually think Jadot is one of the very best negociants (and they do have some vineyards) - I have rarely had a poor Jadot.
They are loing living wines and I'd say re-try this wine in say, 5 years to see if it is developing.

Claudius2,

I'm pretty sure I was saying the same thing, but thanks for the support!

For some(including me), the Jadot wines could lack a bit of personalities. However, I found they could outperform a lot of bigger names when matured, in terms of drinking pleasure.

Jim,

Drinking good, Burgundy in the summer.
