Re: NWR: Any Chicago fans here (probaly not much)? Terry Kath!
I was a fan back then - partly because they had real instruments and not just guitars. I met and talked with Jim Pankow, the Trombone player, in a hotel bar in Boston about 10 years ago - he was visiting his son who was in college there.
Wishing I had my turntable still set up so I could still play their first couple of albums.

Jim Pankow is responsible for writing 4 of Chicago's songs (all in the 1st 2 albums) that put this band in the popular music map.
But, Terry Kath with his echo/wah-wah guitar sound and soulful vocals also contributed greatly to the band.

I like a big band.
BB King always has a great one.
Also the Ides Of March weren't bad.
Although not my favorite band or stlye I was lucky to see Chicago in Richmond,Va when younger.
I was lucky to see staright that night..................and the music was great!
