Some of these midweek quaffers are too good to drink midweek

Post by Houndsong »

To wit, the 2005 Ch. Paloumey, Haut Medoc. I think this was/is an 80-84-pointer on "The Only Ratings Scale that Matters." I bought these for pop/pour anytime delectmentation but find myself reluctant to do so because a) they're so good they require a better venue and b) they'll probably age reasonably well. This is one of those problems.

It is a good problem to have. Myself, I'm going to have a couple of Bud Lights up here in the State Street Pavillion seats at Fenway Paahhk on a hot summer night!

Solve your problem by buying more.

That would compound my storage problem with the Hawaii move, Stefan. And it's not as though I don't have another six cases of 09s on order.

At least you got to cheer some, Jim.

Paloumey is made by a woman and it's a heck of a good wine.
Kind of a well-kept secret.
A stone's throw from La Lagune.
