TNs: just your average Monday night.

2007 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru; Vieilles Vignes ; Domaine Marc Morey
poised, fresh, balanced with plenty of lemon and citrus and just the subtlest hint of buttery wood and sweet spice. Mineral, with hints of bacon fat and raw meat. Acacia honey. Complex, but the terroir seems mixed and disjointed (understandable being a blend), but it is a beautiful wine that should age gracefully and add depth to itself. 66-69+/100

2010 Côtes du Rhone Blanc; Domaine Jamet
floral, rich, elderflower, fresh, pure, simple and nicely rounded. Beautifully made, poised and precise... Perfectly judged oak and a nice slightly rustic length. Grass, herbs and a touch of hemp. 63-65/100

2009 et 2010 Côtes du Rhone Rouge; Domaine Jamet
carpet, dust, sandalwood, rosewood, roses, bramble, deep black plum, a bit of pepper and spice, nicely complex and deep but at the same time easy and appealing. Smoke, tobacco, earth and grass. A really intriguing, classy wine. 65-67+/100

2010 Langhe Nebbiolo; Giuseppe Cortese
roses, tar, strawberry and a lifted perfume, grass, rosemary, earth, coffee and a touch of mushroomy wood, white and black truffle, sandstone, lovely freshness and soft elegant tannins, red plum and sweetness. Nice length, classy, elegant and very much the young vines of where it comes from!! Beautiful. 67++/100

2007 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, Domaine Clef des Papes
fur, minerals, rocks, honey, nuts, very fresh, cocoa, full and bold, balanced, lemons, limes, kinder surprise, milk chocolate, wet dog, sand and salinity, sea-air. A touch short but drinking and very very nice! 60+?/100

Jono Beagle's hundred point scoring system.
0-29/100 not worth bothering with
30-49/100 good wine but I wouldn't buy a case
50-59/100 very good showing grape and terroir character
60-69/100 excellent example of a wine from this country/region/grape
70-85/100 one of the very best wines that the region has to offer.
86-100/100 one of the very best wines you are ever likely to drink
