Besides the ridiculous price which makes it a luxury/trophy item rather than wine, this raises all kinds of interesting questions about how wine ages, not to mention how one opens the ampoule.

Big deal. What kind of preparation are they talking about? Is this just the winemaker getting a taste?

Too true but it is sad that wine has become a plaything of the nouveau riche.
Sometthng to drink on your yacht or private plane.
