- 1999 Burge Family Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre Olive Hill - Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley (7/1/2012)
Deep garnet. Nose was all Shiraz, but with some age, taking the fruit bomb aspect down a notch. All the better, IMO. Taste was a more mellow shiraz, hence the grenache and mouvedre involvement. Really nice. (93 pts.) - 2005 Dönnhoff Schloßböckelheimer Felsenberg Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (7/1/2012)
Pale yellow. Nose of spring flowers and a lemon squeeze. Taste is a smooth mouthfilling beautiful sip. Taste lasts 30 seconds. Really nice on a warm day. (92 pts.) - 2002 Radio-Coteau Pinot Noir Hellenthal - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (7/1/2012)
Pale garnet. Nose of Cinnamon, some red fruits. Taste was the same as the nose, but with an acid kicker that imbalanced the overall effect. Best drinking Radio Coteau I've had. (90 pts.)
