A QPR Burgundy

Post by Bacchus »

2009, Domaine Bernard & Thierry Glantenay, Bourgogne.

Here's a good, affordable (see, not an oxymoron!) Burgundy I can recommend to all. It's fresh, has pretty red fruit, slight floral component and underlying minerality, decent length, uplifting acids without being too tart, nice middle and good grip on the back end. I have no doubt it will improve with some aging, but it is pretty and delicious right now. Better on day two. Best part, it cost $24 per bottle, and that's up here in Canada! It's not really big, but it's not a wimp either. QPR up the ying yang, as they say. Recommended without reservation.
