The 4th

Post by Bacchus »

A happy 4th to all our southern neighbours. Is there such a thing as a patriotic French wine?

The 4th is a great day to toast our allies from the early days. French and Canadian wines today. No British wine. :)

The US consulate put on a barbecue last night.
They had Gallo wines (Sauvignon Blanc, a rosé, and a Zinfandel), all of which seemed a little sweet.
However, once they had been poured out came some - not very much - better stuff.
The Grigch Hills Napa Cabernet was very good indeed.

Best regards,
Alex R.
