2010 Marani "Mstvani"; Khakheti
rich, creamy, vanilla and milk, earth, sherbet, some stewed lemons and lime, with persistence, grass, herbs, spices and cloves, ash and earth, subtle, restrained and improving with air, very pleasant, with hints of butter. 59-62/100
2008 Marani "Mukuzani"; Khakheti Serapavi; Telavi Wine Cellar
rich, earth, chocolate, sour plum and black cherry. Some richness, but quite lean and herby, lots of tobacco, cloves and coriander spice. Smoke, some hints of minerality but this really needs food. Herby, red fruited, gritty, earthy and perfumed with time in the glass. Showing more of its structure. Cassis, cocoa and roasted soaked coffee. Lots of red plum! 63+?/100
