TN: Produttori del Barbaresco does it again.

Post by JonoB »

2010 Langhe Nebbiolo; Produttori del Barbaresco
saline, meaty and with rounded fruit and a bitter acidic zip keeping everything in check. Cherry, chocolate and tar; some inner perfume that is starting to be enveloped by the structure but it is soft and silky, bramble, forest floor and some minty, crunchiness. Tobacco, smoke, incense, roses, an a slightly inky, soy and braised meat note. Perhaps having had some time to unfurl for about 6 months has helped this, but it does seem deeper, darker and more brooding than previously when it was zippy, and verging on astringent. Good signs for this wine I feel, but it may need a few more years if you don't catch it now! 67-69++/100

Both are excellent wines for the money.
