Have we set up any themes for BWE Dallas? Any specific plans for Friday night?

Friday night with the Burg Devils?

I can't bring 1988 VCC for Saturday because it isn't Bordeaux, but I'll think of something.

I like the idea of Burgs on Friday.

BTW, I think I posted this elsewhere, but I plan on bringing 1996 and 2002 Haut Brion and 1967 Montrose to the Saturday event.

I am sure there are a few of you blasphemous sinners that will be doing some crappy Pinot on Fri, but I will be looking for something less threatening to my beloved Bordeaux and better tasting than Pinot....

Anyone up for (in no order):

- Cal Cabs
- Rhone
- Italian
- Spanish

????

Sounds great, Ed. How about an Haut Brion mini theme? I can pull at least one.

Burgs for Friday sound good. I bet we can convert MichaelP

Michael P is inconvertable. We've been at it for years to no avail. His loss ;)

Michael P is invited to my drink with me Friday -- no pinot at my table, that's for damn sure.

I will find a HB for Saturday as well.

anyone want to send their wine in advance to me?

What about Thursday for the early ones? Maybe a Bordeaux v Cali cab bout? We can bring a mature Dunn -the La Mission of the west? As well as some other CabFan-worthy bottles...

Cab night out Thurs sounds good Tom. Wouldn't mind Spanish Friday if that suits Michael P but I'm good as long as it's red and NOT Italian. Sorry Tom but lost my love for the red/white and green!

Will Howard suggest/arrange a venue for Thurs/Fri night? We should get some numbers and arrange a place??

Peggy and I are doing family stuff Thursday evening.

Peggy's doing family stuff Friday night, but I'm up for a no-Pinot dinner or table Friday night. Rhone or Cali's with HM$?

Peggy and I will both be there for the Saturday night main event with a couple of bottles of Bordeaux.

I will look for some HB's although I know I only have a few, and a BWE Annual is plenty good reason to pull them.
I will be in the cellar next week in between my work trips to Saudi and let you know what I set aside.

Better to carry (checked bags) wine on my flight on Thurs or ship to HMS a few weeks in advance?

Shaping up quite nice, Orlando Robert and I will have to get together one of those nights for a little BWE satellite east action! Live from Otown!

If necessary, I can bring 25% of my red Burgs (that would be 1 of my 4 bottles) for a Friday night Burgfest. Or I might subject you to a California Pinot. Or HM$, MichaelP and I can hide out at a back table doing Rhones.

Rhone bottles are shaped like Pinot bottles.... I bet you could sneak them in.
