Noted: Interest spiking for 2010 Cantemerle!

Just to show what 94 Bob points will do for a wine, K&L has had to restrict orders for the 2010 Cantemerle: 60 bottles per person. :D    :?:

As previously noted, I ordered four well before the big score landed. This was based on the usual description of Cantemerle being "packed" with "finesse." Now I am "very" "ambivalent" about this purchase.

I hear you, Hound, but I don't know how I feel about your ambivalence. :)

But never fear, you can make money now flipping 'em if you don't like packed finesse.

Yes, the price has skyrocketed $5 a bottle. That's almost 15%. It doesn't quite cover my loss or embarrassment on the 2009 Pavie Macquin, but it's something.

Reading the pro's notes is fascinating. Almost something for everybody. Suckling says give it three years then drink it for years. Mr. P in the same boat, except it needs 7-10 years. Something called Wine Enthusiast says good for mid-term drinking up to six years. :?: (I reckon it would be shut down hard by then. Maybe this is like a "partial score" from the old days of broadcast sports reporting, we'll get the final on the 11 pm news). Jancis says it's lovely in a "Margaret River" sort of way. :?: My ambivalence is now redlining and I fear it may approach infinite dimensions.

I bet in 5+ years, the "94+-Parker-Points-2010-Cantemerle!!!" will go for $50.

Wine Spectacle. "Offers a sappy feel" "Should age gracefully.Drink now through 2022."

I love sap. I was drinking some blue spruce last night.

We call it turpentine here in NC.

I wish Robert Parker would go away.
He has been such an abomination for wine consumers.

I think Tanzer is about the only one with a good palate left.

Also check your PM.

Got it, thanks for the tip, Rob.
I'm counting my blessings that I got three bottles of 2009 Cantemerle (I guess).

Not the 2010 (yet). His in-bottle Bordeaux reviews should be coming in the next issue in 2 months.

Sold out at PJs?! Maybe I should claim my $2,400 max allotment from K&L before they are sold out too.

Anybody else in for five cases? I'll bet the wine stewards are from those trendy Brooklyn restaurants. The ones where Bordeaux is so uncool it's hip.

In about 5 years we'll be paying $110 a bottle for the hot and spoofilated Lanessan.

It is a real nice wine for the money, though after the 2010 tasting was over I was the only one in the group that appeared to offer up praise for this wine, the others thought the la tour carnet was the qpr.....I respectfully have to disagree and I have to admit that I'm right :D

Please, don't Parkerize my Cantemerle! Please Parkerize Croizet-Bages instead!

A prediction: in 15 years, even the Crus Bourgeois will be at 100 $...
