1998 clerc milon

Post by robert goulet »

Tasted blind, immediately I declared Bordeaux, cab based, 2000..leaning towards pauillac, but never gave my full commitment....another '98 that has my engine revving, great nose of plantain, earth and cigar box...the palate offers a great layer of leather, basement cherry dust, earth, tobacco and broccoli, just flat out delish...if u have any in the cellar drink these now as the power begins to fade after a couple hours...excellent

I had that wine few years ago (around 2008) and found it excellent at that time too. Glad to read it still delivers the goods.

1998 is an underrated LB vintage in my experience. The only failure I've had (defined as did not meet expectations) was the Pontet Canet.

Great notes on the 98. I just posted on 2008, clearly much younger than your 98 which has developed.
