Is it bad to like a modern, slutty Bordeaux?

2005 Ch. Pierre de Lune, St. Emilion Grand Cru.
A micro estate of only one hectare, made of 90% merlot and 10% cab. Only 200 cases made.
Full-on modern Bdx but well made. Lots of chocolate, licorice, ripe black fruits, spice and French oak. Not viscous like many of these new-fangled modern darlings, moderate in acidity and alcohol in check. Totally approachable right now. I'm thinking I'm gonna slowly start drinking in to my '05 St. Ems. They are opening up.
I'm more of a traditionalist, but once in a while wines ike this are fun. Just had some pedestrian grilled steak and needed a decent wine. Wines like this are a hit at dinner parties.
Not bad at all.
Parker 95. I'm not close to that, but I like it right now.
