Opened that bottle tonight, and it is a modern Piedmont wine. Color is medium red with violet rims. Nose was very burned oak at first, i was sceptic, but it transformed itself dark red berries, blueberries, purple flowers and light Black licorice. In mouth, medium concentration, good intensity of flavors, flowers, blackcurrants, good acidity, light grippy tanins, final of purple berries and light ashes. Excellent wine, well extracted but stay genuine to Nebbiolo.
I'll report about a small 2009 Bordeaux tasting I had last week, probably tomorrow.
