Paging the BWE NYC contingent:

Peggy and I will be in the city Saturday, October 12, with bottles and corkscrew in tow. Any interest in a BWE dinner?

If I can I will try and wrangle a trip over. I miss the Big Apple! David your timing is good because every year between 2008 and 2011 we did a BWE tasting in mid-October around a Bordeaux vintage theme, be it year or decade. There are plenty of BWE stalwarts in the tri state area and others from further afield that can be mobilised.

Excellent Jacques. Looking forward to sharing an evening with you and Jill.

Ian, it would be a treat if you could make it over. I attended several of those fall vintage-themed dinners in NYC and have great memories of them.

I think I have a 1996 Cos d'Estournel.
Would you like me to bring a 2003 Dom Perignon as well for starters?

Alas and alack I won't be able to get over there for this august gathering of BWE glitterati, cognoscenti and Bordeaux aficionados. Hope you have fun and post notes and pictures

OK, we'll have to try again the next time were in NY.

Peggy and I will just have to have a romantic dinner on our own. Too bad you'll miss out on that mag of 1947 Cheval Blanc...

I think you and Peggy owe yourselves a trip to Maine one of these years soon.
I'm in NYC all the time, my trial schedule is pretty busy this fall though.

Can you get Rudy a good behavior pass so he can enjoy his handiwork?

Not DavidG's Cheval!!! He's probably on the Chateau's super private mailing list.

Yeah, I get to muck out the Cheval's stable. Adds a certain earthiness to the cuvee...
