TN: 2000 Le Boscq, Saint Estèphe

Post by Rudi Finkler »

This Saint Estèphe has been well-stored for ten years in my cellar, and has now reached its plateau of maturity. There is an impressive earthiness and minerality at the heart of this wine, in great harmony with dark fruits, spices, ripe tannins, and agreeable acidity. Moreover, this classically styled wine has a superb length.
- Wish I had bought more.

Thanks for your note, Rudi.

I'm finding that many of the 2000s are quite enjoyable now although the big guns, of course, need more time.

I have found more recent vintages of Le Bosq to be fairly massive and "modern" in style.

All the best,
Alex
