- 2004 Château Branaire (Duluc-Ducru) - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien (4/11/2009)
I wish I had read the notes below before I openned the bottle - I would have left it alone
When I openned the bottle there was a great nose wafting of a wonderful nose for 30 seconds
Good purple color
Chaulky, woody, tannins
in a decanter for 90 min and it did get better over time. tart cherries emerged after an hour (88 pts.)

Thank Rick,
I have this 04 Branaire in the cellar. What would be your recommendation, for perfect age to open that bottle?

I've got six of these en magnum. BD has dibs on three of these.

I recall really liking the "crunchiness" of this wine upon release. Looking forward to drinking this wine at the twenty-year mark.
