TN: 2005 Paul Pernot et ses Fils Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières

  • 2005 Paul Pernot et ses Fils Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru (10/30/2013)
Brilliant pale golden color, on the nose pears and honeysuckle, on the palate, the texture is round and the flavor is evolved into a honeyed round complex wine that has lost a lot of its acidic edge but gained layers of different flavors.
Delicious now, not sure it will improve a lot more and even though I've never had a premoxed Pernot, I'm not sure I would take the chance. (93 pts.)

The '05s are really good, but because of the threat of premox we have already drunk most of our 1er Crus.

I did not drank that many 2005 white Bourgogne, but I liked them a lot. The 2005 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières from Albert Grivault I had lately was awesome.
