I noticed my postings in this thread back in 2013 critical of the 2009 vintage. Have to say, my view has turned around a lot over the past five years. I am much more impressed with 2009 now, to the point of seeking it out on the secondary market and ranking it among the best vintages of the past 20 years. It has shed a lot of baby fat and gained balance.

I went to a big tasting of Pichon Lalande and the 2009 was one of the best vintages

Figaec 2009 was fantastic in every way at ep degu in zurich in 2012. No doubt about that.
Best Figeac i ever tasted until now.
I am very sorry now that i did not buy at 200+ €. Seemed too expensive to me those days.

Better than the 1990 Figeac? if so , that's a wow.
