the decision has been made...
thank you to all for your input...
at some point between now and new years eve the white smoke will appear and the decision will be announced....

I am in NYC right now, the announcement will come between now and 11:59 pm on December 31st....

Ah - Bum Wine has been singing the praises of Wild Irish Rose and its peers for over a decade now. But since bum wine even has a Wikipedia page, perhaps it's lost its "hidden gem" aspect that is part of the usual BWEWOTY.

This would be a fabulous choice -- one of the half dozen top wines at the 2005 UGC tasting (which included many much-more-expensive heavy hitters) and it has never failed to disappoint when we've had it since.

I thought that a number of the 2005 Margaux's including D'Issan, Lascombes and Malescot were all great and continue to impress ...
