2001 Clerc Milon

Post by Rieslingfan »

I thought I had the '98 standing up. Turns out it was the 2001. Ah well, no problem. Early going it is still showing a good bit of oak, though it is starting to turn cedary. Dark fruit is still prominent as well. Will be following it over the next couple of hours.

Little bit of coffee/chocolate, but also some tobacco elements. Liking this quite a lot.

Another box tick for the 2001 vintage

I bought only Sauternes/Barsac in 2001. Looks like I may have missed some good ones.

Have a single bottle of 1999 Clerc Milon that was given to me a few years ago as gift. Anyone have any thoughts on whether it's time to drink up or further cellaring might be beneficial? Has anyone had this in the past couple years? TIA for any advice.
