I am sad to report that the wine world lost one of the great ladies today as Christine Valette of Troplong Mondot passes away.

Very nice tribute Jeff. I didn't know her but after reading your piece I felt a little of your loss.

A touching remembrance, Jeff. She does seem to have been a special lady, and you were obviously touched by her friendship and generosity. A sad loss.

Sad to read the news Jeff. A terrible loss for all and Bordeaux has lost a gem. Beautiful tribute to a lovely lady who will be sadly missed.
