2003 Duhart-Milon
2003 Duhart-Milon
This wine is open for business. Cigar box and blackberry, with forest floor emerging over time on the nose. Full bodied (geez...this reminds me of Quilceda Creek's 2nd wine, but with a lighter hand in oak treatment), blackberry and black cherry, silky smooth and integrated tannins with no sign of fading. Very well made. My first of a case, I'll try another in about a year. 93+

We liked this when it was young at a blanquito dinner in NYC a few years back.
Not roasted or unbalanced at all.
It was one of Suckling's top wines under $50 back then on release.
