Smooth, softer, no hard edges, more like 2009 rather than the 2010 Talbot.

When will you be opening a 2010 Lafite?

JimHow likes young Bordeaux. But, it is good for us, to get his judgment on those 2010, but like some other here, I don't buy as much Bordeaux as before, too expensive.

Love it, CV. Quintessential St. Julien. Elegant. The classic St. Julien bouquet bloomed after about an hour or so. Seems like a beautifully crafted Gruaud to me. Just so seamless going down. Wow, the bouquet is really opening up in these final sips. It just seems so meticulously crafted. A little pricey at $80+. 14% but not a hint of heat. Almost understated. I would not characterize this as 2010- or 1996-like. More like a combination of 2005 and 2006. I'll buy 3 more bottles and let them age, although, the wine is a beauty right now.
Rating: Yet another 94 pointer from the 2010 vintage.

Jim, I know you don't buy futures. But indeed 80 bucks is a bit much for GL at this time. I bought half a case of 10 GL under fifty bucks a while ago. May be you should give it a try to buy futures (atleast in vintage of centuries  ) . If you don't like them, you can always sell them...

Jim.

Would be nice to see a consolidated version of the 2010's you've already tasted so that we can have the option of a quick look to make those irrational decisions to buy more over priced Bordeaux. Rock on dude!!!

St-Julien is my favorite Bordeaux AOC. I think those 2010 will improve/age for a long time. A great vintage indeed. Don't know If I'll buy more, but Jim, let say you're not helping to keep the wallet away!
