My 2010 list (so far).

Post by JimHow »

In response to brodway's question in another thread, these are the 2010s I've had so far (off the top of my head):

2010 La Fleur Cardinale: My potential wine of the vintage. Consistently brilliant. I'm gonna buy a case.

2010 Cantenac Brown: Stunning. I think I gave it like 97 points.

2010 Talbot: Rough on the edges. Liked, it but I like the 2009 better. In fact, I love the 2009 Talbot.

2010 Sociando Mallet: The 2010 is outstanding, much better than the 2009, which I was not that impressed with.

2010 Chasse Spleen: Excellent, classically styled.

2010 Haut Bergey: After a little back and forth, I have come to the conclusion that both the 2009 and 2010 are brilliant.

2010 Fonplegade: Absolutely loved this wine, will get more.

2010 La Confession: Absolutely loved this wine, just a notch below the Fonplegade.

2010 Gruaud Larose: Oh baby doll. A Jim How kind o wine. So seamless, classy. Drinking great now and for the next 40 years.

2010 Vrai Canon Bouche: Tremendous. Head and shoulders above the 2009.

2010 La Lagune: stunning. Brilliant.

2010 Cantemerle: The ultimate Jim How wine. Reserved. Classic. The 2009 and 2010 Cantemerles will go down in history.

That is a fantastic reference. The two i would be interested on my short list are Lafon Rochet which seems to be getting good reviews and D'Issan. I'm thinking buying one of each and consuming them before investing a large chunk on any given wine. Unless the BWE is up for an impromptu 2010 Bordeaux round up.
