TNs of couple of bottles I opened over the weekend...
2011 William Fevre Vaillons Chablis Premier Cru: Pale straw color, on the nose apricot, citrus and green apple. On the palate, crisp, fresh and great acidity. It's a dynamite wine with grapefruit, orange peel and minerality. Oak is in the background not upfront, only pushing forward the fruit flavors...Excellent...Would rate a 89...
1967 Barolo Borgogno Reserva: Opened and the cork was intact ( ). Light brick red color and on the nose menthol, leather intertwined with notes of red fruit, primarily raspbessrries...On the palate, oh my goodness, nice acidity with fruit in the middle. Strawberries and a bit of cherries too. Tannins are well integrated with good mouthfeel. Fantastico!!!
