First 2011 Bourgogne I liked

The 2011 Jadot Chambolle-Musigny. Ok, nothing to rave about, but just very nice seducing pinot, with a medium red color, nose is creamy with light red berries, cherries, vanilla with brown sugar, and some nice flowery kind of aromas. In mouth, medium power, caressing, more cherries and dark red rasberries, sweet oak, medium finish with light structure and red berries. Very young, will probably develop into something nice, will be excellent in 7 years, but surely not great. TN: 87-88.

Of course, the price is a bit discouraging, but hey, Marie-Claude and me have a soft spot for Chambolle.

Nic this. Is bourgogne not a village wine?

If you think 2011 was bad in Burgundy, try some Oregon Pinot Noir from that vintage. It is IMO the worst vintage in Oregon this century.
