A half bottle.

Lesson 1.Next time stand it up.

Huge amount of sediment, and decanting it after pulling it out from a rack only got rid of a fraction; lots of grains in the glass. Color was good, solid crimson, a touch of mahogany. A gorgeous nose of dark fruit, all spice and the beginnings of some tertiary mushroom aromatics. So easy on the palate. Did not last very long; delicious, and with a deceptively long finish. Next time, two halves, so I can see how it develops. 92

Mark.

That is an interesting wine. It wouldn't seem to me the kind of wine that would show that well 24 years later, but i must resist opening bottles early (i really do enjoy Bordeaux at the 15 year mark). Haven't seen you in some time, but next time we meet i must bring a bottle of 1998 Figeac that you were speaking fondly of last time we saw each other. Your note has encouraged me to pop open a bottle of 1990 La Dominique this weekend. Thanks for getting this site back on track.
