Glorious aromatics of lavender, pan grille, tobacco, graphite, minerals
Great to see this is also fantastic on the palate, too many times a great nose meets a wine that does not deliver on the palate
This just shines with it's sweet leather nuances, porcini dust, green tobacco leaf, earthy cherries, smooth tannins that just tighten a bit on the finish
Very worthy of a BWE WOTY and I am a big fan, must find more!! One bottle remaining will not cut it.

Re: 2009 Giscours former BWE WOTY 2012
I'm glad to hear this wine is still providing satisfaction, BobbyG, it is a spectacular effort. I have a lone bottle of the 2010 that I'm tempted to open ITNOS, it seems to be a little controversial. I see nothing controversial about the greatness of the 2009, though. Wow!
