September lobster dinner with various wines.

Post by JimHow »

With my niece Anna and lots of lobster, corn on the cob, and whoopie pies, we had some lovely wines last night:
2002 Pol Roger, this wine continues to impress, so smooth with no unpleasant acidity and great structure, drinking well now and for a decade to come.
2005 J.M. Boillot Volnay, I've drunk numerous bottles of this beauty, those Volnays from 2005 have been spectacular. This wine will continue to be great for another 20 years.
2010: Cantenac Brown: Big, concentrated, oaky, this wine is a big, big Margaux that will age for 40 years.
2004 J.J. Christoffel Spatlese: Oh baby this wine is in such a great place right now, perfect match for lobster.
