The 2006 Col d'Orcia Brunello di Montalcino

The Brunello can be hard to understand. But Col d'Orcia, to me, is a very interesting producer, producing wines that look like a mix of pinot noir and sangiovese.
So tonight, the 2006 Col d'Orcia Brunello di Montalcino is like the previous bottles of the same wine: excellent. Color is medium red. Nose is perfumed, with spicy cherries, ripe cranberries, strawberries. Cinnamon, Christmas candy cane, and light oak. In mouth, mainly cherries and oak, with mint and spice flavors. Good acids, tannins from the grape and wood. Long and fragrant finish. TN: 90.
