Wikipedia reveals that may be some sort of quip about the delay in the site opening. Am I right Ian?

Comte has been patiently waiting the last couple months due to log in problems at the old site.

Right, re-reading my post it looks like it could be misconstrued, shame there's no smiley for "mock interrogatory".

Ha no I didn't misinterpret it that way.
I'm glad to see Ian back here after two months though!
When are we doing another offline in NYC Ian?

Hi guys its great to be back...you can't imagine how frustrating it has been not being able to access BWE...and make provocative remarks...

Looks like you guys have done and fantastic job and it has been well worth the wait

Funny someone mentioned a mini off line in early March as long as it doesn't interfere with the convention in DC, which unfortunately I can't make

Patrick organised one on the Rhone in Dec which was very interesting, which we might post on because it was revealing.

Cheers

Ian, we can try to do something at the Kittle House on BYO Monday if you want. Or you and I can just meet there and open some wines :-)

Hi Jacques - sounds like a good plan - David Wainwright the itinerant Aussie fine and rare wine specialist and consultant, and part time BWE lurker, asked if we could organise something in the first week of March when he is in town. Kittle House sounds like a great idea, and I know it is i your back yard. We went there about a year ago for our white Chave tasting and we got the royal treatment and a tour of the cellar - is that week good for you?

That week is perfect, Ian. If we're lucky, Pappa, Gio and Jackdaw may be able to join. We'll see if any other BWE'ers have interest. I suggest Bordeaux as a theme :-).

Let's work on that then Jacques - you never know we might even persuade Our Dear Leader to make the trip down from the Arctic Circle...

Perfect, Ian. We are therefore talking about Mar 2. We can start another thread later this week and work on the details. Jim, you just have to come! Especially if we can get the usual crew to join

It started to feel like you were Godot, Ian, with your lengthy absence on BWE. Another reason to be glad for the new site!!!

To Jim and the new managing committee, thanks! The site looks terrific and it has that new-car look and smell that turns heads. Here's to lots more of BWE in its new home.

Incidentially, I'm drinking a 2000 Potensac tonight and I'm really starting to wonder if I like this Chateau's style...

Wow. Comte, I was wondering where you were. Trust me. I have had my share of login problems with MSN over the years. You guys move fast. With an offline already set.

Man, we've had 70 people join the site in six hours. I wonder how many people gave up over the years due to log in issues.

Jim, it really makes you wonder. I can't believe the number of people registering. Keep them coming. We might hit a 100. Roberto
