The two are for trying in Texas. The 12 are for Oregon to be drunk down the road.

God forgive me, despite my age, a case of 2020 Montrose for $150/bottle.

Could have gotten a case of 2019s for the same price but some key tasters (e.g. William Kelley) preferring 2020 tipped my decision, although it may take longer for the 2020 to come around...

3 x La Conseillante 2020, 3 x Lynch Bages 2014

My intelligence (contacts not nous) suggest 2020 could be the best ever vintage of La C, certaintly better than 2019, and even better than 2016 and 2010. I think the great WK rated it 100 points, so I now have two three packs.

With Lynch I continue to look for opportunities to backfill, because every time I try one the more convinced I am it is of super second quality, and the 2014 is another reasonably priced example - these I bought for £233/3 in bond (ex duty and value added tax). Recent other Lynch backfills have included 2004, 2006 - both outstanding in the context of the respective vintages - and 2009.

I latched on to some 2019 and 2020 Montrose last year, and have at least six of each.

Guys
Despite my ramblings about no more EP buys I just ordered 8 2020 Bordeaux:

Beausejour St Emilion
Tour St Christophe St E
Bellefont Belcier St E
Rausan Segla Margaux
Giscours Margaux
Cantenac Brown Margaux
Branaire Ducru St Julien
Langoa Barton St Julien

Either 3 or 6 of each.

Cheers
Mark

Mmm it's been a while since I've had a Lafleur Petrus, and Branaire Ducru is becoming one of my favorite annual best buys.

We really enjoyed our visit to Branaire Ducru in October. Did you know that their property is spread out in like, I dunno, about ten different parcels all throughout St. Julien. It's not one contiguous property.

Yes like a patch work quilt.

I tried both of these wines last April - I rated the 2020 Lafleur Petrus 98 points - one of the top four wines I tried from the vintage - the others were Montrose, Pichon Lalande and Ducru. I think Lafleur Petrus is really top tier Pomerol now.

The 2018 Branaire I rated 94 points tasted along side the 2020, 95 points. Brainaire has never been making better wine.

A recent 2004 was lovely and ready to drink. Medium bodied, cassis and tobacco with a hint of truffle. A very elegant, classic St. Julien.

Reading through the 2014 Calon Ségur thread reminded me of T&V so I logged onto their website and lo and behold they were holding a 20% mixed cases of wine site wide sale so ended up pulling the proverbial trigger on the below.

12 x 2014 Montrose $129.99 -> $103.99/per
4 x 2014 Montrose 1.5L $249.99 -> $199.99/per
5 x 2018 Tempier Bandol La Migoua $84.99 -> $67.99/per
6 x 2019 Levet Cote Rotie La Chavroche $99.99 -> $79.99/per
12 x 2019 Grand Puy Lacoste $79.99 -> $63.99/per

It’s the 1119 Riverdale Street, West Springfield, MA, 01089 location and you’ll just need to add 2 btls of something to get the 20% which comes off at checkout.

Visited the estate last October and tasted the 2021 Baudry Chinon ‘Le Clos Guillot’ and immediately fell in love. When I got back to the states, I texted my Bowler rep and now 6 months later I received my stack.
I got stacks like the International House of Pancakes
