JC, the Gruaud Larose pricing error was only that one case at that one store.
For $35/btl, before discount, the 2015 Produttori is a great buy and I think I have 6-7 bottles total now. With Bordeaux making up well over 50% of my cellar I'm trying to focus on some other areas. I've neglected Piedmont over the years and am trying to selctively pick some up where I can without spending a fortune.

After I picked up the Siran at Costco I checked out NH and saw the price was much higher. If it's still around on a sale I'll try and squeeze a few more in.

Yes I bought 5 bottle of the Italian wine and 4 more of the Siran, picked up 3 more gift cards and paid with 2.

I'm conflicted...
just received a Concierge Sales offer from Total Wine for the 2014 DdC at $53.97 per, for a 6 pack. That's the same as the shelf price I paid earlier this year for the 4 in my cellar, but it's gone up to $63 in the stores.
I was planning to buy two more bottles of the 2015 at $78 per (I already have one).
My budget is already stretched to the limit so I can't do both this year, and this deal only lasts for up to one week.

Even though Marcs and a few others have knocked it, I already know I like the '14 - but the '15 looks like a real winner, even at the added premium of $24/bottle.
Should I hold off on buying the '15 Les Carmes and the '15 DdC, and hope it will still be available early next year? just so I can pay for 6 more of the '14 DdC?

I finally finished moving wine into the new cellar. It is full. No room at the inn. The only buying I am going to be doing is going to be accompanied by consumption or selling...

That said, I did buy some 2013 Produttori Pora to round out my purchase of the other 8 PdBs from 2013. I bought a couple of the new vintage of Prado Enea.

OK -- as soon as I said that I saw the OWC 6 packs of Domaine de Chevalier Chris referenced for $54... now, I am done for a while. Time to start consuming! The fun part...

With some consignment sale dollars burning a hole in my pocket, I picked up a 6pack of the 2010 Cavallotto Barolo Vignolo Reserva @ $89/btl along with cases of both the 2014 Olga Raffault les Picasses @ $22/btl and 2006 Lopez de Heredia Tondonia Reserva @ $34/btl.

This weekend I bought some more 2015s: Siran, Gruaud Larose, Tour St. Christophe, Franc Mayne, and a single bottle of... GPL.

K&L had some mags of 2014 DdC rouge this week or last in the $70's zone. Might want to keep an eye on that if like the estate.

Not sure if this counts as a "buy." I traded in a 2 bottles of overpriced 2015 Canon futures at K&L for 6 more 2015 Siran and 6 x 2015 Beaucastel and still came out ahead.

I wasn't supposed to spend that money but when I saw the prices were well below current market I couldn't resist.

Great prices, 20-30% below market on the 2014s. Where did you find these?

Retailer in Massachusetts - Yankee Spirits.
I usually don't find the Bordeaux prices to be that good there but I was looking at d'Issan prices on Winesearcher and their price on '09 and '11 were near the top of the list.
And then I kept looking at the website to see what else I could add to my cart to justify a trip there.
I've now officially started spending my 2019 wine budget.

It's unusual to see Leo P. priced less than Leo B.

The price of GPL is being slashed throughout the chain of commerce right from the chateau down to the retail and the consignment and auction markets. It's carnage.

More 2016 Beaujolais... some Morgons Javernieres from Desvignes and Brun and Brun's Moulin a Vent. Also grabbed a few of D. Bouland's Morgon Delys and some 2014 Vissoux Fleurie Garants. Popped a Desvignes Javernieres this evening and it was very tasty. Having to get creative in finding homes for the wines.

Thanks to the lead from Chris, I browsed the Yankee Spirits online inventory and found that the 2014’s were the most interesting and priced the sharpest so I subsequently pulled the trigger on a case of the 2014 Montrose @ $100/btl and remaining 4 btls of 2014 Vieux Chateau Certain @ $114/per.

We are taking a break from winter in Dana Point, CA.
Highs of 70 and brilliant sunshine.
Walked to the local BevMo to buy some 2008 Dom Perignon.

Got an argument from the staff when I asked if they could find it for me. "No sir, the current vintage of Dom Perignon is the 2009 and we don’t carry older vintages." Got nowhere explaining 2008 was the more recent release and showing her the website was showing 9 bottles in their store.

Found it in a locked case and when I pointed it out I was told, "That's a different wine. It’s the Legacy, not Dom Perignon." OK... May I please buy some?

Sweaty by the time I lugged it back to our room.
Sat out on the balcony sipping Dom, watching the boats to cool off.

Snagged a case of the 2008 Haut Bailly for $89/btl at Wine Cellarage and as it was my first order a 10% discount was applicable bringing down the cost to $80.10/btl which seemed like a no brainer purchase to me.
