Chianti, Portugal and Bojo

Post by Nicklasss »

Few dinners on Friday and Saturday, with medium quality wines.

2011 Cennatoio Chianti Riserva : very young and slightly closed. Medium red, aromas of violet flowers, grapes, light spices. Some smoke too. In mouth, nice flowers and purple berries flavors. The wine is medium rich, with low acidity. Good spicy oak, very ripe tannins. good to excellent, but I have appreciate some other vintage more. TN : 86.

2013 Albernoas Alentejano : an inexpensive Portugal wine, dark, with prunes and dry raisins aromas. In mouth, simple but with medium intensity. Prunes and plums flavors, roasted, missing freshness buy for the price, very ok. TN: 83-84.

2013 Beaujolais Coeur de vendanges Vignes Centennaires, Domaine du Vissoux: a very good Beaujolais, made from 100 years old vines. Medium red color, with aromas of red berries, rasberries, leaf, and some flowers. In mouth, stay very light Beaujolais style, but with a good complexity of flavors on cranberries, rasberries, flowers, very light tannins. There is also a nice vegetal touch (hummus, wood) that add complexity. Nice. TN: 87-88.
