• 2004 Pride Mountain Vineyards Reserve Claret - USA, California, Napa Valley (11/22/2014)
  Deep red garnet. Nose was sweet berries, both cherries and blackberries, cedar hints. Taste was surprisingly medium weight, but mouth filling, berries also. Best it has drunk yet. (93 pts.)
• 2009 Peter Michael Chardonnay Ma Belle-Fille - USA, California, Sonoma County, Knights Valley (11/22/2014)
  Pale gold. Nose was pear, melon and vanilla. Taste was smooth, rich, vanillins, pears,mangoes. (93 pts.)
• 2010 Morlet Family Vineyards Chardonnay Ma Douce - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (11/15/2014)
  Pale yellow. Nose was rich, butterscotch, a hint of fresh herb-mint? perhaps. Taste was mouth filling, young, pear, citrus. High caliber yet definitely different than a recent Marcassin and Peter Michael. (93 pts.)
• 1998 Clos du Mont-Olivet Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Cuvée du Papet - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (11/15/2014)
  This straddles old and new like a 75 yo cowboy riding his new steed. Cloudy garnet. Nose of a mix of rustic garrigue and berries. Taste was similar, more on the garrigue side in the mouth. (92 pts.)
