We will have some beef filet mignon, with green pepper sauce. What wine to go?

Bordeaux? If so, which part, Médoc, Libournais, Graves?

Rhône? Chateauneuf or Côte-Rôtie?

USA? Young Cabernet decanted 4 hours, or >12 years old Zinfandel?

Italy? Spain? Australia?

Finally, we had the 2002 Vincent Couche Champagne that was very good but light, the Gardet Premier Cru Champagne that was better with more pain grillé and structure.

With The meal, a very convenient 2000 Château Gruaud Larose. Last night, the rustic side of that Saint-Julien was proeminent, After more than 3 Hours In The decanter. Sour cherries and red berries, dark flowers, rasberries and leather. The wine was not clear, lot of fog In it. Very good, but nowhere near excellent or great. TN: 89-90.

We will see each other at our parent's place on the 25, and I should bring something nice from Spain.
