The 2010 Powers Cabernet Sauvignon Champoux vineyard is a nice Cabernet from WA state, but is medium on all.
Medium red color, light brownish rim. After opening, super fruity and warm alcohol, almost a bit too much. After 90 minutes in the decanter, calm down, a bit more complexity, but stay a nice medium range red wine. Nose of blackcurrants, chocolate, light cherries. In mouth, medium power, red pepper, blackcurrants, light meat, sand Very light mineral. Ripe tannins, short final, good but not great. Don't have a clue how long this can age. Decent. TN: 86.
A medium way to end up a poor wine weekend. The good thing: i'll be happy to drink green tea on weekdays dinners!
