  Deep garnet. Nose initially all garrigue, dried herbs, hay. Eventually hints of raspberries. Taste was smooth, garrigue flavors yet still with a fruit core. Older style, very nice. (93 pts.)

Weirdly enough I might have one of these left. I probably drank most of my Rhones from those glory days of 98-01 too soon. It was a happy time of a strong dollar, good vintages, and a region that was not yet fully bid up.
