I haven't really had or tasted all that many first growths so let me be the first to say that my vote is based on my limited experiences and that most of them have been from off vintages so I don't really have all that much perspective. I've had the 83 and 89 Latours, 88 and tasted both the 02 03 and 04 Margaux, 88 and tasted the 03 Lafite, 70 82 83 88 89 90 96 01 Mouton and 85 and tasted the 01 03 and 04 Haut Brions. Best experiences thus far have been with Mouton so that is where my vote goes.

Though one. I have to think about it, as I did not tried a lot of first, and not the same vintages.
HB : 1982, 1988, 1994.
LR : 1976, 2008.
L : 1970.
M : 1982, 1983, 1985, 2001.
MR : 1982, 1985, 1987, 1996, 1999.
I ned more time.
