BWE Napa - 28 Mar 2015

Post by Michael-P »

We are gathering a few folks (Ed+Lisa, David+Nancy) for dinner on Sat 28 Mar, in case you might be around to join in the festivities.

Ugh. I'm down here in Half Moon Bay right now (literally slurping an 00 Marsau as I tap away).

Next time you guys do something give me a shout out :D

When did you get back to the land of the free, MichaelP?

Long drive with short notice. Keep me in the loop for future Napa events.

SF-Ed brought a 59 CdP (very sweet and yummy, if a bit simple) and my WOTN, a 64 Haut Brion (although at first it was watery and a couple hours later had lost the water, gained weight and complexity to being quite wonderful).

And Michael P not only hosted but also opened a surprisingly robust 1933 L'Evangile, an amazingly lively but still ready to drink 1996 Chave Hermitage Blanc, and a tasty magnum of 1986 Lafaurie-Peyraguey. We also had a very impressive if not completely ready to go 2000 L'Evangile as well as loads of other things. Great company as well with Michael, Nalan, David and Nancy.
