2008 Altesimo Brunello di Montalcino.

Post by stefan »

The BD commands, and, good slave that I am, I obey.

2008 Altesimo Brunello. For reasons incomprehensible to me, Lucie has decided to go without wine some nights. I fridged some of the Alesimo from Thursday and finished the bottle tonight with a delicious leftover dish of chicken thighs with three mushrooms in a brown sauce that Lucie created. The Brunello is leathery with good fruit and makes my mouth pucker. While '08 Altesimo is not in the upper echelon of Brunello, I am not unhappy that Lucie allowed me to drink the entire bottle. It is better today than on Thursday. I have more or less avoided 2008 Brunello, but this one inclines me to buy some more if I find them at a good price.

We have no choice but to obey the command! This was a helpful note, thank you.
