Château Cheval Blanc St. Emilion 1er GCC-A 1994: My first Cheval Blanc! The absolute high-end in St. Emilion, together with Ausone at the time. A luxury sniffer it was. Sweet and inviting nose with tobacco, cedar, black fruit, herbs. On the palate full of fruit. Sightly one-dimensional and the finish was a tad on the short side, but the overall balance and pleasure was there. Outstanding balance between sweetness, tannins and acidity, but drink up! 91 points
