TN: 2010 Fonréaud

Château Fonréaud Listrac Cru Bourgeois 2010: Pop and pour. 52% cabernet, 44% merlot and 4% petit verdot is in the glass. Shy nose at first, but offering ripe crunchy red cherry, plum, stones, ripe tomato and thyme. On the palate quite smooth and with a decent mouthfill. Certainly elegant, with berry and cherry, red pepper, licorice, earth and leather. Fine acidity and comfortable tannins towards the solid finish. This isn't great stuff, but it's a gentle, attractive daily glass of quality Bordeaux. Very likeable. Drink over the next couple of years. 87 points
