Perfect cork and fill. Dark red to rim. Pop and pour. Initially pretty simple, ripe fruit and cassis on nose, not too interesting on the palate. But after an hour or two it started to show some interesting interplay between fruit and pepper and some subtle positive herbal notes, nice balance between acid, fruit and tannins. Not obviously gravelly/Graves-y but a very nice drink for the price. Should drink well for another 5 years or more.
This is one of a batch of "lesser" 2010s I bought, hoping for some early drinking QPR champs. It filled the bill nicely. Lacking some of the Graves typicity I found in the Chantegrive, the Cantelys is still a very nice wine in a more classic than modern style.

I tasted the '09....it was fairly structured...not showing too much...not much in the way of pessac typicity...reserve judgement

Hard to beat that Chantegrive for young red Graves flavors.

Hmmm, time to open my 2005's I guess? Thought they needed more time.

Never had an '05, Roel. They may benefit from more time. I usually like my Bdx much older but thought this one to be an early drinker. I've been wrong before and could be way off.

If you've got more than a few '05s, ten years would be a good time to take a look. CT notes seem to indicate it's out of the dumb stage but hasn't developed much complexity yet. Some question whether it will.

Thanks David. I've got 3 bottles, so it maybe time to do some testing...
