2003 Giscours

With Dijon crusted rack of lamb enjoyed another youthful 2003 yesterday. Dark purple in the glass with NO colour change at present reflecting its youth in the bottle. Nose slightly atypical not showing those juicy Margaux Berries that I love so much. The was nose filled with dark black currants(cassis),blackberry/cherry and going down still very primary with similar fruit notes and subtle cedar tones. Tannins ripe but still very present and thankfully subdued with the fatty lamb making it very enjoyable and certainly needs some juicy red meet to be enjoyed at this time. Does not represent true classic Margaux and more modernized version but still an enjoyable solid wine that needs another 5+ yrs in the cellar before I'll touch another.92+
