I've never liked the big Burgundy glass.
To me, the smaller glass is better.

I agree. The Burgundy glasses most seem to like are too big for me. I like the Zalto Bordeaux glass for Burgs and the Zalto Univeersal glass for just about everything else.

My favorite Riedel by a wide margin

I'm on Jim's side here. Vinum series are my go to pinot/Burg glass. Compared XL series and didn't find the difference other than BIG and can't put in dishwasher.

I have to say that I like my Riedel 'Tyrolia' which are stemless, and very dishwasher safe. And on Saturdays when I'm a little more motivated, I'll dust off the Schott Zwiesels (a gift from Bill & Linda) which are really nice too.

Need to get more stems, and have found a restaurant supply place, that (I think) can get some Spiegelaus. I like their 'geometry' ever so slightly better than Riedel, but its been a while since I've had any around the house, since between kids/pets/life -- fine stemware gets broken too much.

I still use vinum for daily drinking. Picked up a few cases of the Bordeaux restaurant series for Reidl from the local restaurant supply house. These are made from glass instead of crystal and bowl is indistinguishable and stem a little sturdier. These were about $50 for 12 and well worth the money for having a dinner party,tasting etc.

Dare I say I occasionally put my vinums in the dw? So far, so good.

I put my sommeliers in the dw... Very carefully.
